WS-FTP LE for Windows

Before you start the configuration process, make sure your client software has been installed and is running properly. These settings are those you will need to access your account using FTP. For other accounts the settings would be different. Open the program and follow these instructions:

Note: These instructions are provided to explain how to set up this product for use with your Nu-Designs.com Web Site Hosting account. For support of the software itself, please refer to the product's manufacturer.

1. Click the Connect button to create a new session.
2. In the Session Properties window, click the New button.
3. In the Profile Name: field, enter what you want to call this setup.
4. In the Host Name/Address: field, enter ftp.nu-designs.com .
5. In the User ID field, enter username@nu-designs.com . If you have problems, try a percent sign (%) or colon (:) instead of the at sign (@).
6. In the Password field, enter your password.
7. Click OK when you are finished.

   

   Note: CGI scripts and HTML files must be uploaded in ASCII mode. Images, .exe, and .dll files must be uploaded in Binary mode. Also, filenames cannot contain spaces. You can use an underscore (_) or dash (-) as an alternative.

   
    
   

8. To change your settings, click the Options button, then click Session (cont'd).
9. In the Startup Transfer Mode, select either ASCII or Binary.
10. Click the Set as default button, then click OK.
11. Exit from the Options window.
