Netscape Navigator 4.7

Before you start the configuration process, make sure the program has been installed and is running properly. Open the program and follow these instructions:

Note: These instructions are provided to explain how to set up this product for use with your Nu-Designs.com Web Site Hosting account. For support of the software itself, please refer to the product's manufacturer.

1. In Netscape, click Edit, then Preferences. The Preferences window will open.
2. In the Category field, click the + symbol next to Mail & Newsgroups.
    
   

3. Select Identity in the Category field.
4. Enter the name you would like to see displayed in the "Your name:" field.
5. In the "E-mail address:" and the "Reply-to address:" fields, enter user@yourdomain.com
    
   

6. In the Category field, select Mail Servers.
7. Under Outgoing Mail Server:
   • In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field enter: mail.yourdomain.com
   • In the Outgoing mail server user name: field enter: username%yourdomain.com
8. If there is an existing name in the "Incoming Mail Servers" block, click it and then the Edit button.
9. If there is not an existing name, click the Add button.
10. Make sure that mail.yourdomain.com is in the "Server Name:" field.
     
    
    
    
11. Make sure POP3 Server is selected in the "Server Type:" drop down
12. Enter your user name followed by "%" and the domain name in the "User Name:" field.
13. Click OK.
